TMJ Implant
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) implant is intended to replace either only a part of the joint, such as the temporomandibular joint disc or the glenoid fossa, or the entire joint with the condyle/ramus and fossa.
Customized TMJ implant is designed on the patient-specific anatomy, taking the reference from the healthy joint for the natural curvature. The fossa component fixed to the glenoid follows full surface conformity and hence the natural articulation in TMJ. Features like light weight and osteo-integration structures along with the flange flushing make the implant a perfect fit and as close as the natural bone’s form, fit, and function. Relevant customized surgical guides for resections are also provided with the implant.
